If we’re talking about sex in hostels we might as well talk about safety first.
Before you even decide to have sex, make sure that you are prepared for that moment of intimate passion that you might encounter.
After all, you don’t want to be in the thick of the moment and have to stop just because neither of you has been prepared and haven’t purchased condoms.
If you don’t have a condom, definitely don’t get pressured into having unprotected sex.
Yes, there is the possibility of pregnancy but that isn’t even the scariest thing.
Getting a sexually transmitted infection can be in many instances even worse and something you don’t want on your trip overseas is to pick up something that will forever stay with you.
And yes the person might seem all good and clean but you never know their sexual history and because of that you definitely want to protect yourself as best as you can.
So simply put, be prepared, buy condoms and don’t get pressured into having sex without them.
Sex In The Dorm Room
I did mention this before, you might be a ninja in bed but no matter how quiet you will be other people will hear what you are getting up to.
Most of them are not as excited for you as you might think they are. Unless you get the random I’ll masturbate to his kind of a person in the same room.
What you might encounter while getting naughty is that some people might actually approach you and interrupt you halfway through.

You will have a sweet few minutes of privacy in the dorm that you might require but be aware that there is going to be someone cleaning the room and possibly might walk in on you.
Finally, if you do end up getting a few strokes in, in the dorm make sure that it is not on the top bunk because seriously no one wants to be laying underneath, feeling the motion of the ocean and holding their pillow tight wishing for their nightmare to end.
Private Rooms For The Win
So you have a bed in a dorm room and meet the love of your night. We have already established that you should steer away from getting hot and sweaty with people around.
So ask at the reception if there is a possibility to hire a private room. Yes, it might cost you a little bit more but hopefully, the experience will outweigh the money that you will pay.
Trust me when I say that having sex in a private room is much better than trying to sneak around the whole hostel hoping to find a quiet corner to get your freak on.
And if the love of your life is there for just one night you want to make the most out of it without having to worry about people watching you, getting annoyed or interrupting you halfway through.
One thing to take into consideration though is that most hostels don’t have the thickest walls, so, by all means, run around naked in the room try out all the different positions, just consider biting the pillow to muffle the noise a bit.
In the instance that there are no private rooms you could always go online to find another hostel, hotel nearby.
And if that is not possible consider doing it in the shower..
Sex in the Shower
We have all seen porn stars doing it in the shower and it might seem like a walk in the park but shower sex can be quite awkward.
From searching for the right position to your feet slipping on the slippery surface to adjusting the water so it’s not too hot or cold. Shower sex can be quite intense.
But don’t stress, this is potentially like a private room where you can try out different things without other people’s awkward stares.
And afterwards, you can wash each other off from the sweat and head over to your beds to rest up for the remainder of the night.
Here are a few tips that can make this venture a little bit easier for you and your partner
- You don’t have to turn the shower on.
- Doing it from behind is the easiest.
- Bring a towel with you.
- Be careful with the hot water, a small slip can totally burn you. (it happens… I know).
- Clean up after yourself.
- Have the light on.
Finally, once again be aware that this is a public area in the hostel and others will be able to hear you.
So just try to make sure you don’t make too much noise.
… You could also consider the toilet as it is a private space… But the shower just seems so much more hygienic. Your choice
Sex in the Kitchen
Is it really necessary for me to remind you that this is where you prepare and eat your food.?
Would you like to find unknown substances on the counter first thing in the morning when preparing your food for the day?
If you are the type of person that would have sex in a hostel kitchen then you are a sick sick puppy 🙂 and most likely the kind of person that will have sex in a dorm room no matter how many people there are.
But now on a serious note, try avoiding the kitchen at all costs because people will not appreciate it and neither would you.
Also in most hostels, there is a lockout time for the kitchen, so you might not even be able to get into it anyways.
Sex in the Common Room
Most of the time you will find that the common room is quite full of people, but to your surprise, you might find that people that are awake during the day actually go to sleep at nighttime. WOW
This means that the common room may remain empty for a few hours which gives you enough privacy to be able to achieve your dream of having sex in hostels.
Best of all you might have couches, tables, chairs to test out your sex gymnastics.
If you do end up in the common room though make sure to clean up after yourself and keep an eye out for any cameras that might be filming your every move.
Who knows, one night of pleasure could end up with leaked videos of you for everyone to see.
Also, keep in mind that there are people that might be coming back parties and you could have the occasional night Walker that might intrude.
Sex in the Laundry Room
This is another viable option just like the common room, but it could be empty for most of the time.

Just like with the common room keep an eye out for cameras and potential visitors that are there to pick up the laundry.

Sex in hostels is a very common thing and most people do expect that someone might get it on with someone else in the hostel.
Personally I believe that the best thing anyone can do that is planning on getting lucky is to respect others space and not just think with their genitals.
As long as you are trying to avoid people and be as quiet as possible I think most people will understand and appreciate your effort.
So as long as you are not intentionally annoying people or intentionally trying to get on the bad side of staff you should have fun and enjoy your hostel fling even if it is just for one night.
